Rayman was first drawn with characters from the golden age of cartoons in mind (with Looney Tunes as basis), his expressions and reactions exaggerated are reflexes of that. In Rayman Legends, he is referred as Dark Rayman instead of Raymesis, and he is shown to be a replica of the original Rayman, but is completely darkened and grayscale and has the same glowing-yellow eyes. His tongue turns green lastly, which is revealed if he does grimaces. Dark's glowing yellow eyes, and his gloves are turn into a light blue color, and his shirt and shoes turn into dark blue.

He has strawberry-blonde (sometimes orange-colored) hair, cream skin, a huge round nose (similar to but bigger than Mr. He is left without legs, arms and a neck, and his body parts in fact just float around his body. Rayman appears to be a limbless humanoid-like creature with yet unknown species.

In 1999, the character would debut on a Nintendo system through a cameo in Ubisoft's Tonic Trouble, and finally months later, recieved his own main release with Rayman 2: The Great Escape. Rayman (レイマン, Reiman) is a Nintendo playable video-game character, and is the eponymous and titular main and signature protagonist of the series of same name, and is one of the mascots of Ubisoft. But sadly for me, this was not up to my expectations.David Gasman (1999-2008) Billy West (1999) - Animated Series Douglas Rand (2011-present) Quotes This is also a good watch for most Rayman fans. Nowadays, children are mostly familiar with the Raving Rabbids series. This show was obviously catered to young children (from the "Rayman era") who would less likely care about the "poor" writing, animation or Rayman's cluster of accents. Although I prefer the mature, determined and serious Rayman from Hoodlum Havoc. This Rayman was the cheeky, witty, sarcastic and boisterous type. Then it became a slur of American, hints of New York-Italian and Bostonian. At first, it sounded similar to Sonic The Hedgehog. I was hoping for the best but unfortunately, I think West was having problems with which accent to give Rayman. West has provided voices for many famous characters such as Fry, Zoidberg and Professor Farnsworth from Futurama. Billy West provides the voice for Rayman. Some scenes are dimly lit similar to some gameplay levels Rayman traverses through.

The animation is what you would expect from a cutscene in any Rayman game. I believe that the characters who were unfamiliar to me were not fleshed out enough. Rayman was the only character I knew (I was hoping that Globox or Murfy would make an appearance but this wasn't the case, I believe they were originally going to be in the show until the cancellation) and I was unsure about the others.

When I watched Episode One: LacMac Napping, I could imagine why it was the case. According to Wikipedia, the show was originally going to have up to twenty episodes but it got cancelled due to poor writing and lack of funds. I managed to find all four episodes on YouTube. I have only recently found out about the animated series and became curious to watch it. Hoodlum Havoc will always be my favourite game to date. My brother and I would play the first game on the original Playstation and Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc on the original XBox. As a child, Rayman was the "must-play" game.
